My cousin recently moved here from Secunderabad, India. On a recent road trip exploring America, we were shootin shit and exchanging ghost stories and laughing at similarities and differences between American ghost stories and Indian ghost stories when I asked her if she’s ever experienced anything supernatural. Her eyes widened as she averted her eyes to the window. Just when the silence was about to be too much for me, she softly responded “Yes. A few. One is troubling.”
“When I was a second year in college, I stayed at in an all-girl hostel [dorm]. I made many friends. We were all very happy to be in school away from our conservative parents. The hostel was so much fun, but it was a very very old building. Electricity was only put in the rooms. Sometimes, candles were placed along the windows if a watchman was present, but normally once you left the rooms, you were faced with complete darkness. It’s common to wake up someone if you needed to walk down to the restroom at the end of the hall. We all had a childish fear of being alone in the dark.
One night, I had to use the restroom. It was about 4am. I went to my friend’s bed and tapped her on the arm. She immediately opened her eyes as soon as I touched her. I apologized for bothering her, and told her I needed to pee. She smiled at me and hopped out of bed. All the way down the hallway, she laughed and danced. I could not see her at all, but her bangles clanked together loudly and the bells on her anklets jingled softly. It was very calming. I laughed and sashayed my hips down the hallway with her, too tired to match elaborate arm movements. She said nothing to me, though occasionally I heard her hum one of our favorite Bollywood songs. The same thing happened on our return. I fell back asleep easily.
I awoke fairly late the next morning to the sound of men in our room. They surrounded her bed. I bolted from my bed, prepared to protect my friend, when I realized they were administrators of the college. I peered over closer. My friend’s lifeless eyes were fixated on my bed; the same smile on her face. Suicide. Her time of death was 11:30pm, almost 5 hours before I woke her.”

I have been living in scary houses all my life, so I’ll just tell some of the things that have happened.
Me and my little sister used to play games in a room we called ‘the other kitchen’. We lived in a farm, and there used to live two families there. In the part where we played games, an elderly couple lived. The children of the couple that lived in ‘our’ part were considered ‘crazy’, and our bedrooms all had locks on the outside of the doors. One of the children commited suicide, and her mother was so confused because of it that she blindly ran on the street and was run over, killing her. Creepy house, it was. Anyway, we were playing chess or something when the dog crawled really close to me, whimpering and trying to put his head underneath my shirt. I calmed him down, and we continued playing, although I thought it was really weird. At one point, my sister looked behind me and screamed. There was a dead rat behind me, and none of us - not even the dog, who was a rat hunter - had seen it.
That was years ago, I was maybe ten. I’ve moved since then, and we now live in a house that lies behind a cemetary. A year or so ago, something else happened. Me and my boyfriend were home alone. My mother and sister were on a holiday, and we took care of the dogs. They were in the living room, as always, and the door was closed. We were sleeping, and suddenly, there was a HUGE stomp on the door, loud enough to wake us op. My bofriend thought I had left and slammed the door. We just cowered in a corner until morning came, but when I went to look, nothing was there. Nothing had fallen over against the door or something. Now, I sometimes hear knocks on the walls and the door, but they’re not very loud and I’ve become used to them.
Thank you for reading.

Cholchester,Vermont- St.Micheal College
There are a couple of places on campus that seem to have ghostly visitors.
1) The theater supposedly is haunted by a nun who assists actors. There have also been incidents reported during performances of props disappearing with no explanation.
2) The men’s first year dormitory also an evil presence. in the 60s or
70s, young men were holding some sort of occult meetings One of the men
insisted that he needed to close the “portal” before they left, but by
that time security was there and they tossed them off campus. the door
to the attic is padlocked shut. However, lights go on in the attic and
footsteps are heard in the middle of the night by the residents on the
top floor. The image of the pentagram still exists on the floor despite
attempts to replace the wood.

In 1901 a pregnant Madame Bobin arrived on board a steamer from Western Africa and appeared to be suffering from yellow fever. She was then transferred to a hospital for those affected with contagious diseases. There she became worse and apparently died and was buried. A nurse later said she noticed that the body was not cold and that there was tremulousness of the muscles of the abdomen and expressed the opinion that she could have been prematurely buried. After this was reported to Madame Bobin’s father, he had the body exhumed. They were horrified to find that a baby had been born and died with Madame Bobin in the coffin. An autopsy showed that Madame Bobin had not contracted yellow fever and had died from asphyxiation in the coffin.

Hoia-Baciu Forest
The Hoia-Baciu forest, also known as the Bermuda Triangle of Transylvania has become famous since 1968 when biologist Alexandru Sift captured a photo of a disc-shaped UFO flying above it. However, the locals have known all about the forest for much longer.
They considered it an evil, cursed place and it was viewed as a taboo subject. The forest is viewed as one of the most haunted spot in the world and over the years, many ghost hunters, paranormal investigators and parapsychologists have been attracted to it.
Hoia-Baciu Forest is truly a mysterious place that may look like something out of a Brothers Grimm fairy tale. The trees are spooky, wraped and crooked. Some researchers have claimed that this forest is a portal to another dimension or spirit world. Locals warn that if you enter the forest, you may never return.
